Supernova needs an iPhone with iOS 15 or later.

How do I play?

Drag a ring to spin it, and line up three or more matching orbs along a spoke, a line running from the black hole out to the rim. Matched orbs pop, everything falls toward the black hole and new orbs drift in from the rim. The goal for the level is at the top of the screen, and you have a limited number of moves.

What do the special orbs do?

• Four in a row around a ring makes a Halo, which clears its whole ring.
• Four in a row along a spoke makes a Beam, which fires through the middle.
• An L or T shape makes a Pulse, which blasts the area around it.
• A rainbow Nova wipes out every orb of one colour. It comes from the Luck upgrade, and in the last galaxy, Supernova Core, from five in a row.

Match a special or tap it to set it off.

What is the black hole meter?

Every move feeds the black hole, and big combos feed it much more. When it is full, tap the black hole for a Supernova that hits every orb on the board. The charge carries over from level to level.

How do lives work?

You have 5 lives and one comes back every 30 minutes. A life is spent when a level starts and handed back when you win it. While an unlimited-lives reward is running, no lives are used at all.

Purchases

I bought something and it hasn't arrived

Make sure you are online, then close and reopen the game and wait a minute; the App Store can be slow. If it still hasn't arrived, email me the order ID from Apple's receipt email and I'll sort it out. You can also request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Can I restore my purchases?

Gems, boosters and packs are consumable items, like coins, so Apple has nothing to restore. Whatever you have bought is saved in the game on your iPhone. The Welcome Pack can only be bought once.

Progress and the leaderboard

I got a new iPhone. Where is my progress?

Progress is saved on your device, and the game has no account or cloud save. When you set up a new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup, your progress normally comes with it. Deleting the game deletes its saved progress.

How does the leaderboard work?

Your Supernova score is every level's best score added together. Tap the trophy on the map and choose “See the rankings” to see everyone. You need to be signed in to Game Center (iPhone Settings, then Game Center). Scores can take a few seconds to appear. If you would rather not appear, sign out of Game Center and the game will stop sending scores.

Can I start again from level 1?

Yes: tap the gear on the map, then Reset Progress. It wipes your levels and stars but keeps your gems, boosters, upgrades and purchases.
